Hi there,
I just got back to UE after about a year with the new 5.8 release and mesh partition for landscapes.
I followed this tutorial by Unreal Sensei with no problems: https://youtu.be/Lhj2LutYNjA?si=K0rvQ-sXjXTLBstM
I re-opened my project and created a new map from scratch but now the program keeps crashing as soon as I place a brush modifier. Like the most basic thing…
I’ve opened my previous map (where I followed the tutorial) and now the program keeps crashing as soon as I move any of the modifiers, where just a few days ago I had no problem…
anyone have any clues of what may be happening? I’m not putting my computer on stress while UE open, besides Chrome with 3 tabs and spotify. Definitely not more than what I had days ago with the tutorial.
I’m on a Macbook M1 Pro, 16gb ram, 10core cPU, 8core GPU. Not the best but it worked.
I really don’t have any crazy meshes. I’ve just played with the modifiers tbh.
Only difference: I’m using a second viewport on a separate monitor. Could this be it?
I’ve tried re-booting it but the problem persists. Maybe I should just create a new project? Not have too many maps in one project (although I think it loads one at a time so It should not be an issue)? Just trying to figure out if it makes sense for me to keep exploring this mesh terrain with my specs.
a few screenshoots of what I have, which I don’t think is a lot…
any thoughts are appreciated!
