I’ve recently migrated my project to the newest 5.6 version. I used to render my NDisplay to Prores or JPG format (The NDisplay contains different meshes of a tunnel for video projection, so has 3 different resolutions and 4 different outputs). In 5.5 this worked…
Since the migration I’ve noticed these don’t take the appropriate resolutions of the viewports anymore. In MRQ i’m rendering to 3 different outputs just for testing (EXR, JPG and Prores), and the only one doing the correct viewport resolutions is EXR…
Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong or if there’s a fix for this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I’m facing the same issue. Unfortunately, in Unreal 5.6.1. this is still not fixed. How exactly did you configure the EXR export to make it have the correct viewport resolution? Doesn’t seem to work for me either.
It’s a shame that Epic hasn’t kept the JPG or Prores formats in the NDisplay outputs. Only EXR works for me. The problem is that Adobe Media Encore treats it as transparent, and when rendering to video, everything looks black.
The only option I’ve found is to convert the EXR files to JPG using the free XnView MP software.
If anyone has found a way to keep the NDisplay resolutions in JPG format, I would be very grateful if you could share it.
