As soon as Unreal Engine 5.4 was released, I immediately began testing the engine’s pixel rendering capabilities with the path tracer method, aiming for the highest quality achievable.
Subsequently, I explored transitioning to the lumen method to achieve comparable quality in real-time settings.
I’ve been conducting these tests since the initial release of Unreal Engine 5, and I’m confident that this iteration brings the two methods closest in terms of performance.
I’m thoroughly impressed by the results achieved with Lumen in version 5.4, and I’m particularly pleased with the speed and responsiveness of the workflow.
