Hello, can I control the weighting of the “Arm” IK, so there is no Blend of the previous Mocap arms. I hope to find a way to stop the arms from wiggling when the IK arms are stretched out in front of the body.
I’m using the “Layered” Control Rig method with IK arms switch turned on.
Question: How do I keep the IK arm stretched out (stiff and straight) without the blend causing the wiggly arms?
You can use Control Rig to calculate the vector distance from the point you want them to be, so that if the vector length is within range, this will drive the alpha of the IK node, or you can just interpolate a specific axis of the vector, so that the othert two vectors are still going to be driven by mocap.
Alternatively you can just force the IK by keying it, but you can’t filter out on which axis you’re going to override.
Sorry, I don’t understand the suggestion. Is there a Youtube video describing this suggestion?
I have been key’ing the IK adjustments (on top of the Mocap) using the new " Layer" Control Rig in UE 5.4.
If you have a Mocap run cycle looping at 0,0,0; on a treadmill. How can you overwrite the Mocap on the arms and use the “Layer” Control Rig to have the hands hold onto the treadmill rails?
