UE 5.4.3 lagging on blank project GTX1080 5950x 64gb ram

Trying to get back into learning UE, but it’s lagging so hard it’s unusable.
Every interaction with the engine windows takes 2s to register.
Even with blank arch project set to wireframe it’s the same.

Games and apps run fine.

Drivers up to date.

UE 5.4.3.
Windows 11 pro
Ryzen 9 5950x
64gb DDR4
GTX 1080 8gb

Just installed the 5.3.2 and it works as expected without lags. Can anyone shed some light?

Deleted and installed 5.4.3 again, and still the same issue.

You really need an RTX for 5.0+, unless you intend to disable most of 5.0+ core features.

With your current setup, you should be using 4.0+.

Thank you very much!
You fulfilled my dream!
I always wanted to help veterans, even forum veterans. I can only imagine what you must have been through with such a high post count. You must have seen stuff that would make your stomach turn.
I’m glad you replied without reading my post and will gladly be ignored again so you could increase your post count.
I thank you for your service.

Ahem, I got actual help on Reddit.
For people that have ran into the same problem, which seems to affect all 5.4.x versions of UE, the issue is in the buggy Studio Telemetry plugin.
Once disabled, everything ran normally.

What exactly did I misunderstand about your post?

You said you have performance issues, then you gave your specs. Even if a project is empty, there are core processes happening.

Also, you’re a nasty person and I truly hope this thread gets to remain so people know not to help you. (Though, judging by your demeanor, and the fact that your account is brand new, it’s clear you’ve already burned many bridges and accounts already).

Glad to see you sticking to your guns and digging your hole even deeper.
You could have just said: “Sorry, I didn’t read your post, even once.” I might have apologized for the sarcasm and we would all be on our merry ways.
But you have still not read what I posted and go on throwing insults and wild speculations on my character, instead of just reading the posts I’ve made before you “replied” and apologizing.

My posts had all the information needed to help out, but not only you have not read them, you gave a blatantly misinformed reply, showing you don’t even know about recent GPUs.
Anyone with a bit of knowledge would understand that a blank project with wireframe rendering running at 0.3fps on an GTX 1080 is abnormal. Heck I even posted a screenshot of a trace.
And if you would have read further you would have seen that it’s only in UE 5.4.3.

But alas, you spent your time fantasizing about me and projecting.

I, on the other hand, posted information that will help people with the same issue, as it seems to be impacting more than a few.
