UE 5.4.2 crashing with Nvidia Studio drivers 555.85 and 555.99 when disabling Nanite and Lumen using the medium scalability setting

My system may not be the greatest machine, but I know for a fact that it shouldn’t be crashing or performing poorly.

The issue only occurs after saving the level. If I CREATE a level but don’t SAVE it, it’s perfectly fine. I’ve even rebuilt the level I’m trying to work in ENTIRELY, from scratch, and didn’t save it, and it works perfectly fine. I get around 200FPS at low settings, and about 80FPS at epic settings. All I want to do is see if my lighting looks okay.

This issue only started happening with UE 5.4.2. UE 5.4 was fine. The map itself isn’t even that demanding, either, and doesn’t even total a million polygons. I AM using the water plugin, however, but that hasn’t caused issues before.

I would downgrade my Unreal Engine version but UE 5.4.0 is no longer available for whatever reason.

I’m not really sure if this is a bug report or not, as I don’t know the exact cause. For all I know it could be my PC, which is a laptop (i7-12700H, 16GB of RAM, RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU) that I cannot replace or get fixed at the moment due to financial issues.
