UE 5.3 not saving Favorite Levels after closing editor

I believe this started when I upgraded to 5.3, but when I add a level to favorites, close and relaunch the editor, that level is no longer on the list. And now that I’ve deleted the Saved folder for an unrelated issue I have no favorite levels at all. My project folder hasn’t moved, and Saved is not in source control. Any ideas?

Edit: I tested with another tiny project that was on 5.2, and sure enough after changing it to open with 5.3 it no longer saves changes to Favorite Levels.

Yeah they supposedly fixed it in 5.4. Here’s the fix if you want to apply it yourself:

An update on this:

So, if you save the level as Favorite over and over, eventually you’ll get lucky and the setting will stick.

But it appears to be random. It may not be; perhaps triggered by the creation or destruction of an asset (who knows?), but it is possible.
