Do any of you know why the VR preview mode (Oculus Quest 2, with OpenXR, via Oculus Link) only shows the render of a Heterogeneous Volume (smoke) in the left eye? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I don’t know how to solve this.
I noticed that Niagara will also only render in one eye as well. I guess VR support for the new particle systems may not be fully supported yet for VR. Cascade seems to work in VR thou. Not sure how much longer Cascade will be supported after 5.3.2.
Since Unreal Engine version 5.4, with the MetaXR plugin and the MetaQuest3 device, it works seamlessly in both eyes. It is true that it is very demanding, as it has to perform raymarching for both eyes in real-time, but the result is very convincing.
Has anyone had any luck without upgrading or using Meta XR plugin? I am experiencing the same issue. Using a Heterogeneous Volume for a VDB fire simulation in 5.3.
Meta Quest 3, visible in left but not in right eye.
The VDBs in my VR Project were working in 5.4
I upgraded my project to 5.5 as well and now the the VDB renders 2 times in the Left eye and is influeced by distance and HDM rotation, does not render in right eye.
