Hello!
We are building out a remote render pipeline from UE to Deadline. We are using the latest Deadline plugin and have installed and configured it according to this document: Unreal Engine 5 — Deadline 10.3.2.1 documentation
Currently, our issue is that we are unable to finish most large renders without encountering a crash on the UE side, which then crashes our Deadline worker. When the crash happens, another worker will pick up the job, but will inevitably crash again. The crashes are inconsistent, sometimes we are able to get 500 frames, sometimes 2000; it changes every time. Sometimes smaller renders (1-2000 frames) will even complete. These crashes happen with any project we try, even an empty project with no new plugins enabled. We’ve also noticed that when the crashes happen, no crash window opens with a crash log. Sometimes, there are no crash logs generated that can be found. However, I have included a crash folder that was successfully generated from one of our recent crashes, but we weren’t able to find much useful information from it.
I’ve compiled a few files within the attached zip:
- 0192_TestRenderProj_2 - Verbose output log from one of our render attempts from today
- CRASH_5_29_24 - Crash folder from one of our recent crashes
- ProcessMonitorCSVFile - Log from Process Monitor in CSV format
- ProcessMonitorXMLFile - Log from Process Monitor in XML format
We are looking to see if we can get some assistance in understanding what is causing these crashes, along with any other helpful information that may help us debug our issues between UE and Deadline. Thank you!
