Hi.
I am working on a project, everything was working ok in UE yesterday.
Saved the project, shut down the computer.
Today back in the office and the project crashes before opening.
The only way for me to recover the project is to delete the .ini file, but that deactivates SM6 and VT, and then it says I should turn it on to use with nanite, but if I do, we go back to crashing.
Any idea on this issue and how can I get decent quality using Nanite?
Thank you.

ok, not sure what solved it.
My steps were update visual studio, update graphic drivers.
On the defaultEngine.ini I deleted all SM5 and vulkan stuff, also deleted all default maps except for my main.
Also changed the directX from default to 11. 12 crashes the project.
Not sure what to do.
Over 300h invested on this project and now can’t find a solution for this problem, as soon as I turn on lumen and the correct settings, it’s an instant crash.
And the most strange… yesterday all was working fine.
For now just going to use SM5.
But this is really annoying, Unreal Engine starts crashing out of the blue, for no apparent reason, in a decent computer.
True can happen. I had similar Problem and a downgrade made my Project Work again. So maybe worth a try. Beside that no Idea why Lumen wouldnt work. You seem to have decent PC specs. Maybe Something went wrong with the ini Files…
So, the best solution I found was to create a new project with all correct project settings, and migrate all my assets and levels from the problematic project.
That did the trick.
