UE 5.1 Blend static meshes with virtual textures without landscape

Can I use static mesh blending with virtual textures without using the standard landscape? I have spherical worlds in my game based on a runtime generated mesh, I want to blend my rock assets and other props into my lanscape mesh. Is it possible? Or is blending only for flat pre-worlds?
