UE 5.0.2 Significant drop in Metahuman performance

Hi,

since the last hotfix update, any project that we run on 5.0.2 has seen significant drop in performance. We could shoot virtual cameras at 60fps with 4 metahumans in low scalability with no problems even in pretty complex scenes before, but after the update same 4 metahumans generate over 20ms more than before.

So far it seems that it might originate somewhere in Skinned Mesh Component, visible in the Anim stats, which was previously running at 0.2ms, while now it generates ~5-6ms per metahuman.

Has anybody noticed similar behaviour?

At this point we are no longer able to record any virtual cameras with metahumans present, which is a major issue being itroduced by a hotfix update that cant be rolled back, forcing us to use very crude and lenghty solutions for any new or already affected workstation.

We’ve noticed the same issue with around 2.2ms CPU per metahuman face.
It seems Epic is aware of the issue, but it’s unclear whether 5.0.3 fixed it (we’re still having bad performance on our project and awaiting for an update).
