everytime i’m trying to add a given widget to a widget component (to an actor for making a 3d wigdet) , the editor crashes (sth. like access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not available)). I tried to adjust the resolution of the widget itself and of the wigdet component, i also tried to delete the saved-Folder to remove “corrupt” files, but nothing helps:(
i don’t know, now with the 4.6.1 update, i have an another problem: I got a QHD display (3200x1800) and until now, the editor automatically scales everything bigger, now it doesn’t anymore (only the 4.6.1 editor, the ue_launcher & 4.5.1 editor still scales everything very nice). I don’t know, where i can fix this, because it’s nearly impossible to do anything while everything is extreme small
it happens very often. I am assuming that since its in experimental phase its having this issue.
I am also trying to hide the UI when an object is not in range. this whole setup works. But for the first time i make it visible, i get a green tint like the whole thing is a green screen and then the UI appears.
I am still up able to reproduce the crash with the 3D widget. However, I did want to let you know that the issue with the scaling for the resolution is has been reported. I have submitted a report (UE-7002) to the development team for further consideration. I will provide up dates with any pertinent information as it becomes available.
I would just like to clarify, this issue happens the first time you change the class of a widget or do you need to repeatedly change it to get it to happen?
I have tried a couple of more ways to try and reproduce this issue and so far I am still unable to reproduce this issue. Would it be possible for you to provide one of your projects that currently causes a crash using this method?
it happens in every project, so the reason of the problem isn’t in the project itself. I also tried it on my second computer, the crash happens there too…
I was finally able to figure out what we were doing differently. I was able to reproduce this issue. I have written up a report (UE-7092) and I have sent it to the developer for further consideration. I will provide updates with any pertinent information as it becomes available.
