I am having this same issue, but I am running on Windows 7.
Animations worked fine on 4.3 and even in earlier versions of 4.4. I upgrade to 4.4.2 today and character animations do not loop properly and “pop” at end of their animation. I’ve tried making a new project and it still exists there as well.
It’s likely issue you are experiencing is a separate issue, as these seem to revolve around a specific version of Mac OS. Please open a new post in Bug Reports section for your issue with as much detail as you can provide. You can check this link on how to report a bug:

i have exactly same problem with a brand new i just purchased for UE4, workaround did nothing for me too.
Please post if you resolve this issue.

Hmm. No idea how did this happen, but patch is missing a file. Sorry about that!
I will prepare a fixed , but in a meantime, if you don’t want to wait:
Please unzip attached Base.lproj., then right click on QFE-FromCL-2326468-Shelve-2331902.app, select Show Package Contents and move unzipped Base.lproj folder to Contents/Resources in there.
No idea what can be wrong, sorry Could you please wait a bit and try downloading fixed patch again once I let you know it’s uploaded, hopefully that’ll work. Should be ready very soon.
It turned out that 4.5.1 will be released tomorrow and this fix will be included. Many thanks for your patience and sorry again for trouble with non-working patch.
