To replicate:
UE4.27
Set up environment for Android. NDK “android-24”, SDK “matchndk”, jdk “1.8.0_311”
Follow guide to build to pico neo 3 - http://developer.pico-interactive.com/document/doc

Create a basic landscape. Landscape material does not seem to matter.
Place VR pawn.

Launch to Pico neo 3 device or package and install on headset.

Crash between 20 seconds and 2 minutes on average.

Can build to armf7 or armf64.
armf7 crashes faster than armf64.
armf7 with “stream landscape visual mesh LODs” enabled reduces the likelihood of the crash.

Removing the landscape fixes the crash but it’s obviously not a solution.
