UDK documentation links lead to 404

Most, if not all, of the links to UDK documentation lead to 404. Many of the links on this page are broken: https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/previous-versions/documentation.

This is the page I’m interested in: https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.26/udk/Three/NetworkingOverview.html (I’m learning about networking and this was a good resource before it got taken down).

Thanks for reporting! This is an unintended side effect of the UE5 doc launch. We’ll get that fixed asap. Good to know that people are still using the UDK documentation!

Thank you!

Something seems to have changed, but now I get a “too many redirects” error; the site keeps redirecting to itself:

It seems to have been restored now, thank you so much!

Yep, just came here to give you the all-clear. Thanks again for reporting it!

Just downloaded UE 4.27.0 and the documentation links are broken again.

Hello Spurdospardo,

Can you please provide the urls to the pages you are experiencing a broken link?

Thanks!

I’m not going to go through all of them, but for example when the first tutorial tells you to hold CTRL + ALT and hover over to see more info, then the link at the bottom leads to 404. Documentation link for the select and rotate tool for example leads here: https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.27/en-US/Engine/UI/LevelEditor/Viewports/ViewportControlsindex.html#transformcontrols

Also all “?” icons in the left side “Place Actors” panel next to the Actors lead to 404 as well. First one for example is the Empty actor, which leads to this url: https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.27/en-US/Programming/UnrealArchitecture/Actorsindex.html

Same thing in the Lights tab. They’re probably all broken.

Hello Spurdospardo,

I’ve submitted a bug ticket about this issue. The docs team doesn’t have ownership of the doc links in the engine, so I don’t know when this problem will be addressed.
