Hi,
I am using 5.8.3 and trying to set up a Horde pool that will only be used to help with compute tasks, similar to what is mentioned here: How to setup Horde Agent that's ONLY used as UBA helper (i.e. only compute tasks)?
I have two agents, one in the default Win-UE5 pool and one in the HelperOnly pool (set via a custom property in the agent.json).
My Engine ini has the following:
[Uba.Provider.Horde.MyProvider]
ServerUrl=“myserver”
Cluster=“_auto”
Pool=HelperOnly
Enabled=True
[UbaController]
+Providers=Uba.Provider.Horde.MyProvider
When initiating a build from Visual Studio I see the following:
1>Horde server: 5.8.0-54390005, agent: 5.8.0-54390005
1>Horde URL: myserver, Pool: HelperOnly, Cluster: _auto, Condition: (none), Connection: (none), Encryption: (none), MaxCores: 576, MaxWorkers: 64, MaxIdle: 15s
But it then connects with and distributes work to both agents.
It also ignores the cpuMultiplier property set on the agent (set to 0.75), despite the Horde web interface showing LogicalCores as 27 (PhysicalCores is 36) there are 30 simultaneous tasks executing on that agent.
Is there another configuration setting needed to ensure UBA only distributes tasks to the specified pool and respects the number of cores?
