This personal project is all about creating an accurate Tyrannosaurus Rex and bring it to life inside UE4. Possibly in VR too!
I don’t have a clear goal in mind for this project except making the T-Rex dinosaur as realistic as I can.
Because the end result will be real-time instead of a pre-rendered vfx shot, I’ll have many limitations with the character setup in terms of skin and muscle simulation. I have some ideas to work around this though.
So to start off, I’m referencing the skeleton which is based off the Trix specimen. The bones have been remodeled, then placed into a bind pose that will be used to help with rigging, and are proportionally accurate to the real skeleton reference.
