Just to preface, this works great in the main Content Browser view. It would be nice if this functionality was in the Folder view. This is a feature request for the folder view (pictured below)
In Windows Explorer (and most Windows friendly programs) users can locate folders/files by typing in the name of that file/folder with the keyboard. If there’s a match to what the user is typing in, it’ll locate that file. It’s a lot quicker and cleaner at times than using Search.
Here’s a gif showing how it works in Windows. I have a program that displays what I’m typing in the lower right. After a period of time (not sure what it is in Windows), the current entry of what was typed is ‘erased’.
