ADVANCED TONEMAPPER is a real-time rendering plugin for Unreal Engine 5 that replaces the engine's built-in tonemapper with a fully custom pipeline. Perfect for photoreal projects,shooters,adventures,etc that needed in photoreal visuals. Plugin offers 9 different methods of tonemapping - some methods of industry standards (ACES,AgX,Filmic,Kronos etc) and retro old-school methods suck as Reinhard,Linear clamp,sRGB clamping. Plugin is fully suitable with default post-processing pipelines. Fully compatible with default effects like chromatic abberation,grain,bloom etc. Also fully supports Eye-adaption and HDR rendering.

Instead of relying on the standard UE5 tonemapper, the plugin replaces the entire engine tonemapping pass with a custom compute-shader pipeline injected directly into the ReplacingTonemapper slot. It ships nine tone operators — ACES (full AP1 with Blue Correction and Expand Gamut), Filmic (Hable), UDK, Source, AgX (log-space CDL grading), Khronos Neutral, Reinhard, Linear Clamp, and sRGB Max Chroma — each with dedicated tuning controls for exposure, contrast, gamma, saturation, and shadow lift. On top of that, the plugin provides a full color grading and LUT pipeline: up to four blended LUT textures, per-range Shadows/Midtones/Highlights grading, white balance, film grain, chromatic aberration, vignette, and local exposure via Bilateral Grid. Auto-exposure is also fully integrated, with clean EV100 range and bias controls that override and restore engine CVars without side effects.

ADVANCED TONEMAPPER includes a dedicated editor tab in the Tools section with live parameter editing and context-sensitive controls — AgX, Khronos, and ShadowLift parameters appear only for their relevant tone modes. All settings are saved automatically to DefaultEngine.ini on every change and can be reloaded or reset to defaults at any time via the panel buttons.
