I’m trying to figure out something extremely basic. First off, on my computer, the toolbar above the viewport has a solid background, and looks like any toolbar in Windows. In screenshots and tutorials, however, I generally see a transparent toolbar, with the buttons floating on top of the viewport’s display. What can I do to change between these?
Question 2: the tutorial in front of me uses this toolbar to change settings and display FPS: they go into the hamburger menu on the far left (just next to camera options), and select the option in the menu below. So do basically all tutorials. But in my toolbar, there is no hamburger button, there or anywhere else, and I couldn’t find the FPS setting in any of the other menus. Thankfully, I can just hit Ctrl+Shift+H, but where am I intended to go to change FPS settings via this toolbar?
Epic recently changed the UI. Unfortunately in my view, I found it much better in the old version with the floating buttons, which were visually nicely separated and grouped by theme. The functionality is still there, but some is now buried in the sub menus of the new buttons, most noticeable in modeling mode.
