I have an issue with two handed weapons movement.
YAW and PITCH are fine, but ROLL is not moving correctly.
I’m working on in UE 4.27 and followed several of the youtube tutorials (GDXR & VR Playground, …).
I can get the gun pointing in the right direction when I only use PITCH and YAW, but then of course the gun always stays upright.
When I add the nodes to connect ROLL, it only works when I hold the gun low, once I hold it at about eye height it becomes very jittery, and once I hold the gun above eye-height, it seems ROLL is flipping into negative, and the gun is upside down. Even Pitch is turning opposite.
I “calibrated” my headset standing, sitting, and sitting on the ground, but the issue is independent of that, the issue is related to the “height” of my HMD.
I tried it even with a fresh copy of the VR Example project in 4.27, and only added the basic nodes for Look at Rotation. Clamping doesn’t fix it.
Any help or idea what could cause this issue would be greatly appreciated!
