Your latest #TwinmotionFridayExercise is here, and this time we’re heading up to the hills with a modern barn-inspired build perched on a grassy slope.
Practice your rendering skills, and when you’re ready, post your results in the comments below. We can’t wait to see the different lighting, seasons, and atmospheres you create!
This is my first post in the Twinmotion Friday Challenge!
I wanted to give it a snowy, cold, mountainous setting, with wildlife around it and the inhabitant climbing the path. It is set with 3D resources and elements from Sketchfab and Megascans.
I wanted to experiment some with scaling and using the 3d-Grass material.
The TM tree could use some more work putting moss and stain decals on the trunk where the branches connect. The third image does not have any moss or stain decals at the branch connections making it look sorta fake. Not sure if the moss helped disguise the bad geometry on the trees very much though and was time consuming.
The pigeon is one of the early TM characters that’s been around since TM2019. Sure would be nice for some updates to the TM characters.
The bird nest with the eggs used a primitive Torus and surprised me how well the 3d grass took to making a nest shape with some adjustments to the spawn angle. The eggs are a primitive sphere adjusted in scale and given a TM stucco texture.
