Twinmotion running as administrator

Because of some access restrictions, I need to run the Twinmotion exe as administrator, so I could save my TM project file in certain directories in my hdisk. So I change the exe file's compatibility mode in Windows 11, to "Run this program as Administrator", and that works, it let's me save my project files wherever I want.

Unfortunately, TM fails to launch if I open via the Epic launcher instead, or even using the shortcut on my desktop (I get error LS 0013); I can only open TM by double clicking the exe file directly. Is this expected behaviour? if I remove the admin mode, it works fine again.

Is there a workaround for this? I'm guessing it's the windows security query that pops up that is interfering.

Hi ,

I believe this behavior is expected, due to some specific behaviors of the Epic Games Launcher, and based on the LS-0013: Game is unable to launch - Epic Games Store Support article (the Fortnite: Disable Administrator Privileges section.

I am not aware of any workarounds for this but contacting Epic Games Store/Launcher support from the linked article may be helpful, as they are better equipped to handle Launcher questions and may know workarounds for your use case.

Best,
