Twinmotion crashes when opening

Hi - wondering if someone can help please.

Twinmotion crashes while starting up. I can’t understand why which is frustrating. It’s quite urgent for our business needs and I haven’t been able to use it for a week!

Please can someone advise what the issue might be?

Here is the Crash report:

Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000d70

Hey there @M-Nineteen47! Welcome to the community! So the issue seems to be coming from the Nvidia nvcuda64 library. This can come from GPU configuration issues, application environment issues, or driver corruption.

Here’s a thread going over some graphical crashing issues related to the other DLL mentioned after the Cuda one nvwgf2umx that should have some overlap in solutions, however I haven’t run across a Cuda specific failure before.

Let me know if any of these work for you, I’ll add the Cuda error information to the post.

I solved this by choosing NVIDIA rtx (my card) instead of “optimus” in Nvidia Settings.

Hi there -

Thank you so much for your response and going into detail for the solution!

I tried resetting my Nvidia graphic card driver settings to default and my GPU settings under windows system to default and this seems to have resolved the issues - it’s loading fine now and seems to be stable.

I think I had changed these at some point when I had issues with another software so it must have become unstable with Twinmotion.

Thanks
