Twinmotion 25.2 crashes on launch PLEASE HELP

How can I fix this error? I contacted Epic support and they told me to go here… Here are the crash log files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QrgqlXp4O0cNDLdW6-LlAcUpyMq0uENG?usp=sharing

Hello there @Connor_D_Oakley!

Considering the crash report, and the contents of the log, the issue seems to be tied to the amfrtvd64 component (Advanced Media Framework, AMD GPU drivers). I think the sequence goes like this:

  • Twinmotion starts up properly, contacts your RX 9060

  • D3D12 and shader compilation also starts fine

  • Then AMF startups, and the log ends right there

“Amf initialised with D3D12” is logged, AMF triggers an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION inside amfrtdrv64, and the whole thing crashes. So, the most logical step here, would be to refresh the AMD setup.

To do so, I suggest using DDU, and clearing up your current driver install. Then, install the latest set of drivers, from scratch. After that, open AMD Adrenalin, and set the profile to default, so no additional effects are placed on top of UE.

In a related note, look for any other active overlays in your system, and disable them temporary, as they tend to clash with the engine lately. Stuff like MSI Afterburner, XBOX Game Bar, Discord, etc.

Finally, go to your local app data, and clear up Twinmotion’s cache, by clearing up the contents from the following folders:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Twinmotion\Saved
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Twinmotion\DerivedDataCache

After taking all these steps, test with the engine again. If the issue persists, please send the new logs, and we will continue investigating. Hope this helps, and good luck!
