Twinmotion 2025.1 Release Bug : Displaces Landscape when opening 2024 version projects.

Hi, everyone

I downloaded the latest 2025.1 Release and a bug happens. When I open a project from the previous 2024 Version, my landscape gets displaced. See Attached Photos

VS

Twinmotion 2025 - (Same FIle)

As you can see the landscape is displaced. I hope this bug gets resolved immediately.

Thanks

Yes, I have the same issue using 2025.1. Funny nobody else has commented in 9 days lol. It’s obviously a major bug that’s a full-stop for me upgrading to 2025.

Hey there and thank you for reporting this issue.
To be able to investigate and reproduce the issue we will need a little more information.
Was the map created in Twinmotion? If not, where originally?
I’m not completely sure what to look for in the image, would you be able to report a bug?
Use the Contact Us button and possibly share a simplified file that the support team could reproduce the issue with. that would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Hello!

It’s pretty simple to replicate. Make a landscape using 2024.1.2, add some objects in for context, save it then try to open it in 2025.1. The landscape will move off in space somewhere relative to those other objects.

I found a workarround to solve this issue. For some reason when upgrading the file from TM 2024 to TM 2025, the 2024 Landscape imports from its “Center Pivot” to its “Reset Pivot” when opening it on 2025 (These two options can be found in the “Pivot Edit” option, in the additions options from the Move/“Translate” button).

What I did to upgrade my landscape from 2024 to 2025, I had to copy the coords (bottom “XYZ” option next to “Properties”) from the 2024 “Landscape” and paste them into the 2025 “Landscape”, making sure the Pivot type was the same for both.

I also happened to have a “Painted Vegetation” linked to my 2024 “Landscape”, so in order to also import it I had to FILE > MERGE the 2024 file into an empty 2025 TM file, by doing so the “Painted Vegetation” became independent from the Landscape, and finally re-Merged the TM file containing only the Painted Vegetation into my already upgraded 2025 TM file.

I hope you find this helpful!

Same here. I have several outdoor scenes where I augmented the Sketchup ground with a Rocky landscape where I sculpted features I wanted. I open a file in 2025.1 and the landscape isn’t there. I found it off in space.

I hope an update fixes it as I can’t put the landscape exactly where it was. Everything else from the Sketchup stuff to the painted vegetation, water and whatever else is right where it should be.

Like everyone else here, U got the same issue. Some of my landscape was made in Sketchup but I used Twinmotion’s Rocky Landscape and sculpted some more features to augment some areas. I open it up and see that the rocky landscape isn’t there. I find it off in the distance.

I did try to use your method but the coordinates are in both versions are the same.

I’ll have to wait and see if an update fixes it. I’d have to recreate a bunch of landscape files all over again.
