Twinmotion 2025.1 Preview 2 (Broken Import)

Hi Team,

Recent update seems to have broken the importing of Models from Sketchup 2024

As you can see, components are all over the place.

Can someone check please.

Hello there and thank you for reporting this issue. Unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce it internally. If you could please use the Contact Us button to report this bug and, if possible, attach your Sketchup file so that we can reproduce the problem.

Thank you

Hi,

Is it possible to go back to Preview 1, which worked great.

I will wait for the final version to come out.

This is time sensitive.

thank you.

Also, my models work fine.

Preview 1
2024

Its not my model its your update,

I have stonky computer and its not computer.

Please provide me a way to go back to 2025.1 Preview 1

I love it because of the clouds function that 2024 does not have.

thanks,

I have exactly the same issue. Skeetchup 2024 imports - elements of models shifted randomly / rotated through 180 degrees / mirrored. I’ve tested the models with previous version of Twinmotion and it’s definitely something in the file importer for the Preview 2 update that has changed (preview 1 was fine). Again, mine is very time sensitive as well…

I’ve managed to hack together a workaround for the moment. I’ve managed to import the Sketchup file/object that was broken in a previous version of TM (imported correctly) and then saved it to the user library in that (old) version.

I then copied the .tmi file from the old version user library (Twinmotion2024.1 in my case) to the new user library (Twinmotion2025.1).

This then allowed me to get the working version of the sketchup component into the latest TM version, bypassing the import error.

Not ideal, but will suffice for now until the importer is fixed.

@MC_Jut I’m happy to share the Sketchup file with you to help iron out any issues with the importer in 2025.1Preview2.
