I am encountering an awful amount of crashes since I’ve updated to Twinmotion 2025.1. The crash happens either when I am updating a model through the direct link (Rhino 8 > Twinmotion) or when I try to open the project afterwards.
My config:
AMD Ryzen 7600
Nvidia 4070 ti 12GB VRAM
32GB DDR6 RAM
Does anyone have a solution for this? I already tried the “contact us” approach. I included the same screenshot of the crash report message OP has posted. The replied via email with steps to try and remedy the issue “…download/run the epic games launcher and “repair”…” I tried it and the same result. I even uninstalled and re-installed it with the same crash. This happened last week, forcing me to lose days of work and to start a new file. After about 30% of re-doing the initial project. I saved and closed TM. When I tried to open the file, same crash.
I tried changing the graphics setting to Directx 11. I was able to open the file, but no path tracing. It’s “greyed out” and not able to be selected. So this “workaround” to open the file is useless for me. Below are the specs for my machine. Hope someone can find the issue and solution. Thanks
I’ve the same issue after 2025.1.1 update… ! The program has crashed…! Even if you just create a “new scene” without opening any work, change the settings from medium to low, it gives an error and sends it to the desktop. Have you really tested your program after the update you made? I can’t “open” any work right now. My latest work contains huge details and all my days of work is now not opening and giving an error. The bad thing is: There is no going back to version 2025.1.0! Please fix the program as soon as possible.
Same here! My scene just loads slowly, painfully, and after loads like 8 hours later, cant navigate around! Lemme know if you found a work around on yours
Assuming that all your system is compliant with the Twinmotion system requirement
For Crashes, I would strongly suggest contacting support, as some extra information will be needed to either help you resolve this issue or log a bug to pinpoint the issue to the development team.
hey, so im having the same issue, everytime i try to open a file (Tm2025.1.1) it shows the same message you post.
my pc specs are over the recomended but not a monster kind of specs.
So whenever i built my model i was able to work well and set the scenes and everyting but whenever i saved it and close it, to open it again it was a nightmare.
so im not even close to an it guy so not huge knoledge to share here but what i found that worked for me every time was to close any software and everyting and press the on/off button for 10 sec and then restart it and as soon as it logs in i open tm and then the file and thats what works.
its annoying, and it would be better if we dont have to find ways around but jobs have to be finished so hopefuly this might work for some of you out there.
cheers.
Same here. After I save the file, if I need to reload it, it does but when DirectLink seems to end the sync, it freezes. No way to move on.
Really disappointing.
I’m on a Dual Xeon, 40 Cores, 256GB Ram - RTX 3090.
Have the system requirements changed since 2024.1? I’ve just recently installed 2025.1.1 with the hopes of following my usual work flow. Now the program freezes while importing a direct link.
This is an issue I hadn’t run into until updating the software. So, assuming my system specs still meet the requirements, what’s going on here?
