Twinmotion 2022.1 crashes after launch (RTX 3090)

Hi, I recently installed the Twinmotion 2022.1 and after loading the program, if I press any button the software will crash, Also if I try to load any files (like any of the demo scenes) it will crash, the crash report is the following:

"LoginId:04f157bd428a915abded5a95b184b93d

I have an RTX 3090

64GB of 3200Mhz ram

Ryzen 3700x

I have already tried all the solutions that have been posted onTwinmotion website (like changing the Tdrdelay in windows registry) and nothing has helped. I have updated my Geforce drivers to the latest version (511.23) and also I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the software 2 times till now. I can't think of any other solution.

Thanks in advance

Hello, ,

Here are the things to check:

  • GPU Driver are updated
  • Windows version is updated to at least 20H2, 21H1 or 21H2 (Go to Windows Setting -> System -> About to check)

If you have more than one GPU also follow the instructions in this article to make sure you are using the correct one. https://twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/article/Use-your-dedicated-GPU-with-Twinmotion-on-a-Windows-computer

Hello,

I also experienced a crash when launching Twinmotion2023, but I was able to resolve it using the following method.

  1. For Windows, go to the following folder path. '%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local'
  2. Delete the folders related to Unreal Engine. Specifically, delete folders such as 'Unreal Engine', 'UnrealBuildTool', 'UnrealDatasmithExporter', 'UnrealEngineLauncher', 'UnrealHeaderTool', 'UnrealMadrid', and any other folders related to Unreal.
  3. Once you have uninstalled Twintmoion from the launcher, reinstall it.
  4. Launch Twinmotion again.

Note that if you try to launch Twinmotion from the launcher, it will fail to start with error code LS-0013. Instead, launch the 'Twinmotion.exe' file directly from the File Explorer.

This method worked for me and resolved the Twinmotion crash issue.

Hello, thanks for your response,

I have reported the crash using the link you provided. I hope you can find a way to fix it.

Best regards,
