In this session, you’ll learn how the team at Snapdragon Studios enabled ray-traced soft shadows and Lumen global illumination on Adreno GPUs using Vulkan. The first half of this presentation will cover how our engine modifications and low-level optimizations to the shadow denoiser and shader pipeline allowed us to showcase Artifact—the first UE5 mobile ray tracing demo. The second half will cover compute shader optimizations and content decisions that brought our Lumen demo Dragon Alley to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 devices.
