I’m sure a lot of people have found it fun to paint the terrain or use the terrain in the Vehicle Example map. There are material functions and it doesn’t use the layer system that seems to be a common workflow. Its really interesting and technical. It seems like there’s a lot of good stuff in there but its going to be slow to dig around and understand it all on my (our) own. Any chance for a or some tutorials?
This twitch stream had a lot of discussion of the Vehicle Example that may help you
Thanks for that! Watching it now.
While informative, it didn’t talk about the terrain material at all. I will however start watching the twitch streams.
This terrain is unique b/c
Ends in single M_Landscape_SandRock node?
Uses MatlayerBlend_~ instead of LandscapeLayerBlend
Uses BreakMaterialAttributes and MakeMaterialAttributes
Uses Material Functions/Expressions
All that makes for a lot of learning and understanding of advanced material editing, which I want Also this setup makes it fun to edit the terrain.
Hi Dave,
Take a look at this thread from the forums.
In here they talk about the Material for the Landscape Demo and there is a link to the Twitch Stream where Ryan breaks down some of the things that is going on in that demo along with the material. This may be helpful as well.

Thanks Tim,
This video at least touched on a similar material, quick and not a whole lot of depth… but something, thanks for pointing me to it.
