This may be old news to most people, but a good friend of mine recently told me about using Oracle to set up a Perforce server. I brushed him off at first, assuming that just like every other platform I had tried, that it’s going to cost $$$. Well, imagine my surprise when he tells me it’s free with 150gb of storage. I couldn’t believe it, until I went home and started setting it up. On the Oracle Cloud Free Tier you can install Perforce free with up to 5 users, which is perfect for small/indie dev teams. I couldn’t find any info on how to set this up so I had to share. I created a short tutorial on how to set it up yourself.
