The experimental Chaos Cloth Panel Editor in 5.3 supports a new skin weight transfer tool in Dataflow which will allow you to achieve significant visual improvements when transferring skeletaMesh skin weights to static simulation meshes.

Hi, Is it possible to get a skinned skeletal mesh asset exported from the transfer skin weights tool? This would allow us to use this tool as an alternative to standard skinning in maya.

At the moment it seems even if no physics are applied, and just the skinning tool is used it still has to be applied to a character as a chaos cloth asset rather than just used as a skeletal mesh
