[tutorial] How to use pre-rigged mesh w/ the A.R.T Animation Tool in Maya

hey guys, i know some people may find the ART tool as really powerful but don’t want to re-rig an entire model to use it. thanks to the wonderful people in the Answerhub, i made a video tutorial on how to do this. thanks Ray Arnett for writing this up.

“The export animation functionality will not work however as it will export the new skeleton not your old one. So, at export time, you’ll just have to grab your old hierarchy in the outliner, bake animation, and then export selected”
