Tutorial: Create Ordered Point Cloud From Unordered

Many point clouds provided by different hardware lead to unordered point clouds. However, RealityCapture can only use ordered point clouds. This tutorial will show you how to create an ordered point cloud from unordered point clouds.

Thank you for posting this article - however Scene is not able to handle high density mobile scans without instability, and creating the virtual scan stations is a really labor-intensive process. It would be much better if Capturing Reality was updated to support mobile based scans by importing .laz or .e57 files and .xyz or .traj trajectories, like Metashape does. This would make our mobile scan + photogrammetry workflows possible in Capturing Reality!

It would be very helpful if we could import LAS or E57 from the SLAM scanner into RC and combine it with drone images. On many jobs we use drones to scan the roof using photogrammetry and then we scan the interior and exterior of the building with SLAM LiDAR. :wink: Therefore, our request is that you also introduce this option that would make a big difference. Thanks!
