Tutorial: Chaos Cloth - Updates 5.6

The Beta Chaos Cloth Panel Editor in 5.6 features our new Experimental Unified Dataflow Editor, the concept of an Outfit Asset with resizing/refitting capabilities and a host of other improvements including Cloth to Cloth constraints, Simulation Morph Target support and updates to various Cloth Dataflow nodes. This document will provide an overview of these 5.6 changes as we continue to expand and develop new capabilities for our Cloth Dataflow Editor.

The Witcher tech demo at Unreal Fest 2025 showed off so many UE5.6 clothing advances, it’s a very exciting time. I can’t wait to take advantage of some of these new advances in cinematics!

Hey there! Do you mind explaining a bit more in the Cloth-Cloth Constraint? Doesn’t seem to be really working in 5.6 as of right now, no matter what I try
Do we need 2 different Skeletal Meshes for it to work? Seems counter intuitive
How are you selecting vertices and faces? The selection tool is horrible and does not have the Pattern visibility on/off that the weight map tool has for UV islands which would make our life easier
Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the finalized Cloth Asset Dataflow with the Cloth-cloth constraint? Or explaining it a bit more in depth? It’s a great node, but I feel I’m missing half of what we have to do

Do you think you and the epic team could provide some example files/project that showcase some examples? I am doing my best to follow along in the tutorial but it is a bit difficult without seeing an example or the full picture/ setup.
