[Tutorial 4.8] Vertex Animation | Time Line | Key Framed Meshes

Hello fellow developers!

I saw the new vertex animation features coming for 4.8 and I got really excited, I don’t think I’m the only one, so I decided to create a few tutorials, for anyone with an interest!

I’ve also added some tips and trix as well as how to get a vertex animation from Maya into Unreal in the second post.

Two tutorials about Time Line Vertex Animation, the kind which is baked into textures.

I hope you will find them useful.

I’m going to keep on creating tutorials and release them on.

Thanks for sharing this. Looks good.

Added a few more tutorials, lightmapping in the most popular 3D packages out there as well as some tips and trix.

Great stuff!

small note: I think the optimized pig’s snout might be distorted because his uvs weren’t using full precision. Perhaps, that step is something that was just removed during the editing process

I like the energy and rapidity with which the info is given out also I haven’t worked with custom icons for my scripts yet. I’ll try that out for now on.

Thanks for the awesome tutorials!

Thanks TechArt!

I can’t recall editing something like that out, however, it’s been over one year so that may be the case indeed.

Just created a short tutorial on transferring vertex animation data from Maya to 3Ds Max to be used with these UE vertex scripts, hope it helps someone!
