Trying to use an imported asset in a UE5 Game

Hey all, just something I hope you can help with, if you get a chance, it’s probably something stupidly simple, but I’ve never done this before.

I create basic mods using a modkit made in the Unreal Engine 5 (5.6), for a game called Bellwright.

I wanted to start doing something a bit more advanced, by importing assets from places like the Fab and Unreal asset store into the modkit and using them as statics in the game itself.

I can import the assets aok into the kit, they show up perfectly in the kit, I create the blueprints for placement in the game and whilst they DO place ok, the textures are completely off.

Basically they end up looking like a patchwork quilt vs what I see in the modkit/unreal engine itself.

I’ve tried to get help from the official devs, but they’re support for modders is, well, lacklustre at best.

I appreciate this is probably a very easy thing to fix and I’m missing something so freaking obvious, but I just can’t figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Bottom screenshot is the end result)

Looks like a rendering issue, the lod’s might be the issue in this. check to see what they are and how they are effecting the object, also if your using nanite to import, it likes to change the mesh.
