Trying to make a new potion??

I am trying to make a new potion for us…

It will add stamina, health and temperature… while you lose food and water.
When all this is over ( it’s on a timer ) it should inflict torpor, all these stats should be based on % of your current stats…

I’m trying to do this in baby steps, so I started with adding one thing at a time to the “Use Item Add Character Status Value” entry.

one alone works but as pure values … not %

I add 2 values, decrease food and add stamina.
It will only decrease food by points, not %, and same with stamina?

I have set for Stamina:
Base amount to add 50
Percent of Max Status Value - Checked
Percent of Current Status Value - Checked
Use Item Quality - Checked
Add Over Time - Checked
Add Over Time Speed in Seconds - Checked

Add Over Time Speed 10
Status Value Type - Stamina
Stop at Value Near Max - MAX


For Food the same except:
Base Amount to add -25.0

I tried to change
Ingredient Weight Increase Per Quantity
to different numbers from -10.0 to 10 to test… using numbers like -0.99 or -.05 or 1.5 … I can’t both to fire…
If I can’t get 2 to fire, I won’t be able to get all to fire for sure, so atleast let’s start with getting 2 to work at the same time.

I used Stimulant as a base check. I wanted to see how WC is handling the stamina buff while decreasing water. There it works fine, Copied all the numbers over, and now it doesn’t work…

Any takers on how and why this won’t work?

It worked quite well for me…

You will have to toy with it, though. It activates over like 3 seconds, not 10, but fiddling with the time made it instantly drop to 0% instead of 50%. I’m sure you can get it working properly.

if you ticked Add Over Time Speed in Seconds, it would have it dropped over 10 seconds… I’ve made that work :smiley: I can also make it instantly dropd … problem is that it won’t react on the, in your test here, 50% … that is my issue number one…
I need to make it work on percent … rather than fixes value, as people set their engrams points/level points differently! Some want to have 200 hp, some 500 … then there’s an issue with 50 hp :smiley: … but with a 50% it will hit the same for them :smiley: half health…

Secondly somehow I can’t get the second to fire… like … I have stamina and water, just like Stimulant … I can’t raise the stamina on one status value, while lowering the water on the second status value… it just won’t fire … looking at the stimulant bp it’s just as they made it, and we all know it works…

What you’re seeing in the picture there is a health potion. All I did was hit “+” twice, once for food, once for water. I left health untouched. I highlighted everything I changed and it worked, dropping exactly 50% of max

I’m out most of tomorrow day ( gmt+1 europe time ) …

I’m on in the evenings though… and keep pulling hair of my head … soon bald … so far not fixed lol …

Did you change your initial food stats? I mean, level up you food to see if it only dropped 50 points, or 50% ??
