what about if you do the printstring from somewhere else - maybe (just as a test) the actors tick?

you mean the actual player maybe ?

yeah if you can access that variable from the player - anywhere that’s not in the timelines loop - it maybe interfering with it somehow (even though it’s just a string copy).

Have you tested it in UE4.27? If it works from there, but not UE5 it could be a bug - I haven’t been able to reproduce it here though on UE5…

for me I cant get it to set to true. the branch in finished

Ok on 4.27.2 it works. So has to be a bug right?

I figured it out I just had to delete the actor in the view port and re add it back and now it works thanks for your help.

I have been looking for a tutorial of some sort to create this exact type of dice roll from mario party. Are you open to sharing this, the process or putting it in the unreal marketplace with your price?
