It looks like you just need to rebuild. I get this pretty frequently when either upgrading the engine, or one of our team members commits some new code and we pull it down (we’re working with both Windows and OSX BTW). Rebuilding always seems to resolve the issue.
How do I rebuild that? If I say Yes, it doesn’t work!
Do you have XCode installed on your Mac? I guess if XCode is installed and it’s not rebuilding for you thru that dialog, then the other option (if it’s a C++ project) is opening manually in XCode and trying to build. Do you get an error message when you click “Yes”?
I don’t have Xcode on the Mac, that could be the reason I guess?
But this project isn’t a c++ project. It’s just a project with blueprint programming. I just added the VR blueprint in order to use an oculus rift
Yeah - you should probably go ahead and install XCode (and if you haven’t installed Visual Studio on Windows you should do that too b/c you’ll probably run into the same issue on the Windows side if you do this long enough). Both compilers are free. You can also see this dialog when upgrading from one version of UE4 to another, and I would guess the compilers are probably needed at some level for deployment. I’m not sure since I already had them installed prior to installing UE4. Pull XCode down from the App Store, then give it a shot. Should work for you
Good luck.
Hi Bitwise, just to confim I was able to compile the mac version after installing Xcode. Thx very much for ur help!
