Trying to Install Unreal Engine to a Mapped Network drive on other PC.

I keep receiving “Install location error You do not have permission to install to (Mapped Network Drive path) Error Code: DP-07”

When I install other programs to mapped network drive it asks for a name and password. It doesn’t do this with epic games. I do have it set to where it doesn’t have to… but either way, any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I’m constantly finding these posts about people trying to install unreal on “exotic” locations.

a game engine, especially unreal, is a complex piece of software with modern and archaic web like connections of variables and paths and links. Is a miracle this whole thing works.

I don’t know the answer to your question and I doubt is even possible, but if you don’t want to have a bad time you should just leave unreal alone on a normal drive using standard OS system app installation.
