I’ve downloaded the Installer (EpicInstaller 14.6.2) but it keeps trying to install on my D Drive which crashed months ago, my default installation directory is set to my E drive but for some reason this still attempts to use the D drive, is there a way to change install path from the Exe?
I’ve run into this issue before with other things since the crash but usually it’s because I have an older version with outdated settings, but this is the first time I’m installing UE on this machine, unless some other Epic content is messing it up?
Hey there @OmenOfThresh! Welcome to the community! If your D drive is no longer a viable drive for the computer it shouldn’t even be selectable as an installation location for the Epic Games Launcher.
What other Epic content do you have installed? Any older versions of the launcher?
It’s possibly checking the registry for where it’s appdata is(or was) located in your situation, which we can change the location of in the registry but we should hold off on any reg-editing until we exhaust other avenues.
@SupportiveEntity raises some good points does seem like there is the Epic Library location stored somwhere.
Another option you could try, may or may not help and might just cause more problems. But worth a try . Is to change the E drive letter to D, but that may affect other programs you may have installed
