Trying to create a main menu

I am fairly new to UE4 so I will warn you I am a bit of a scrub. I am having some issues creating a basic main menu…

I am trying to follow this tutorial -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yua1KSjJDdY

Whenever I right click to create a User Interface -> widget, “User Interface” does not display? Did they remove this selection in 4.6?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

I have no idea what you mean, Do you mind screenshotting your problem?

To be honest, your best bet is to follow the documentation!

Click HERE for the link to that. It’ll show you everything that you’ll need.

Alternatively, I can create a project template at some point in the future (No idea when that will be ready though!)

HI

Just did tutorial in 4.7/7 Preview, works fine.

Paste your code so I can look at it.

Maybe your screen resolution is very low? Try scrolling down with the mouse when you’re on the context menu, since user interface is the second from the bottom maybe that’s why you can’t see it

It was my screen resolution! Thanks!!

I feel like a total scrub now.

Thanks for the responses!

Hi ,

I’d like to create a user interface too but i’d like it to be rather sophisticated (with maybe some 3D animation involved in the way sub pages arrives, fades away…). Which plugin can i use to be the less limited possible in term of creating user interface ?

Hey I like to throw in because I think an extra thread is too much. I want to boxes (in my case vertical boxes) to be one on the top side and the other one on the bottom side inside a horizontal box. I set size and horizonal alignment from both boxes to fill but they still devide the space of the horizontal box. See the image I attached for the problem.

Edit: Nvm, just used a uniform grid panel
