Hello, I am having some trouble with lighting in a space environment. After following a few tutorials I thought I had a space environment working but when I go to test it I have lighting differences from the editor to the test of the level. I understand there are some differences in the editor and when you hit test play as far as lighting goes but I can’t seem to get my stars in my environment to appear. I made sure as an extra good measure, I added a point light inside of the star with 100000.0 luminance. I made sure that the material of the star is set to opaque under the blend mode. I have a directional light for the levels main lighting, a sky atmosphere, and a sky light. The first picture is in the editor and the second one is in the level test. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the light to appear as close to in the editor? Is it because I have no landscape to reflect off of? Is there a setting somewhere in the skybox etc?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Edit: So after realizing that my level’s directional light was set to 0 intensity I yanked it up a bit and now I get a lighting effect that is closer to what I want (obviously not final by any means). But I realized why I thought leaving the directional light at 0 was a good idea. I thought that the sun actor I created would sufficiently light my level but that was not the case. Now my next issue is, how would I go about creating a lighting that doesn’t show that sun the game engine generates? And what causes the circle to the right of my sun actor in the newest uploaded photo? Is that the bounds that I should have my level in? I guess I thought that my sun actor with the point light would be what lights the level.
