Hello!
As the title says, I am trying to rig a cable attached by each end to a character.
My first try was to use the cable component, but it doesn’t offer enough control and ends up inside my character most of the time. Enabling collision is even worse and makes it go mad.
The best solution I have so far is a control rig using a basic FABRIK node that I constraint to my character so that I can have a baked cable animation.

It works but lack the feel of a real cable and I also didn’t find a way to make it S shaped like you could easily do with an FK rig. When I tried to add an IK/FK switch, the FABRIK node would always erase any curves I made with my FK controls.
Any tips to have a better result?
