II can’t install Datasmith for 3ds max (any version), I keep getting a pop-up message during installation that says “There is a problem with Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vender.”
Can you run that command and share the log withus?
msiexec /i UnrealDatasmith3DsMaxExporter_X_XX_X.msi /lvx* Install_Log_SketchupDatasmith (Match msi name with current installer name downloaded)
Thank you for getting back to me. I tried running that command for version 5.2 and 5.1 of Datasmith but I get the following pop-up
I meant to say, I ran Command Prompt as Administrator and not as Administrator and same pop-up, unfortuntely.
That is strange, just to be sure, are those msi in you C:\Users\Matthew-e.Richardson folder? And not in a subfolder like Downloads?
