Trouble high detail reconstruction

Hi, I have an ok size builfing that I try to reproduce. Some laser scans, some pictures, and some drone photos.

Now when I try to do a high detail reconstruction the software finishes 800 parts, but every time it comes back with a message that something has gone wrong and not all parts were reconstructed…

Any Ideas what could cause this?

Johan

Hi Johan,
when you click on that model in 1Ds view, do you see the Continue button? If so, can you try to use it?
What are your reconstruction settings? Which RealityCapture version are you using? Can you try to use Version 10 depth map algorithm in the Advanced reconstruction settings?
Also, it is possible that your PC is not capable to create such big model. In that case you can try to create a normal detail model or use this workflow: https://dev.epicgames.com/community/learning/tutorials/Yabm/unreal-engine-capturing-reality-processing-of-the-habitat-67-scan-data-with-the-3d-divider-script

Hi, thanks for your answer.

I am using the latest version of Reality Capture.
It does have the continue butten. However it will always finish processing all parts, then this message appears.

In normal quality it will manage.

I will try this algorithmn thank you.

I am curious what is the limits for the computer?
I have a stong CPU, a 4090 card, and 198 GB memory. Also plenty of free disk space.

Hi again.

I cannot find version 10 in advanced reconstruction settings.

All I can find similar is version 1 or version 2. Am i looking in the wrong place?

It is a good place, it should be Version 1 (it was a typo).
Previously, this was related to some GPUs, but hard to say why it is happening for you.
You can also try to change the reconstruction region slightly, set Minimal distance between two vertices to 0.005 and change Maximal vertex count per part to 10 000 000.
