Trouble associating hit event with a dynamic material instance

Hey, so short story im trying to create sort of paint balloons that you cant throw around and they splatter on the walls leaving behind splatter decals and playing squish sounds. I got the sound part down but the decal im getting is still sort of the yellowish default one as you can see below.






Here are the blueprints ive been using. Any help is appreciated. Oh and ill be sure to activate windows as soon as i get this done :wink:
